The Crisis Intervention Group provides support to clients to minimize their feelings of isolation and normalize their experience within the federal court system. The program helps participants address daily stressors (i.e. loss of employment, relationships, etc.) that can be a part of this time in their life. The program focuses on three areas:
Healthy Coping Skills - the Crisis Intervention Group helps clients identify healthy alternative coping skills, communication skills, and assists clients in getting their needs met while they are working through the federal court system.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - the Crisis Intervention Group works with clients to address thinking errors, core beliefs, and values.
Keys to Successful Incarceration - the Crisis Intervention Group helps clients to prepare for the different phases of the process (sentencing, self-surrender, designation, and prison classification).
